Supporting you and your wellbeing

We know the role of a carer can often be hard work with little time to yourself whilst sometimes feeling a little unappreciated. We want to ensure you have a space and time where you feel for that hour it’s just about you and what’s important to you and your health!

Healthtrainers provide personal support and motivation to adult Carers across the East Riding who wish to lead a healthier lifestyle. You might want to find ways to improve your physical activity from home, improve your stress and anxiety or possibly look at ways to still feel connected to your friends and family when getting out and about as freely as you might like may be a challenge.

Here at YOURhealth you could have up to 8 appointments over 12 weeks for free without having to leave your home if this may be a concern for you. Our service operates 7 days a week including evening appointments with a range of support including face to face, virtual or telephone.

We will be there to help guide, support and motivate you to do what you enjoy! This could be reading a book, getting our for some fresh air or reconnecting with friends. Whatever it is that is important to you your Healthtrainer can be on hand to help you set realistic goals to make these possible.

We know many people have struggled with their wellbeing for different reasons this year. We can support you and help get you the right support you need all whilst rebuilding your confidence and belief in your own abilities.

Digital Resource for Carers – East Riding of Yorkshire Council

The Carers UK Digital Resource for Carers brings together a number of specially designed digital products and online resources all in one place to get the best results for carers and help organisations provide comprehensive information and support for carers, including local bespoke information.

The Digital Resource is person centred and aligns with the Carers Strategy. It will extend the reach to more carers, whilst shifting demand to the platform as a support tool, reducing the demand on the front door and Carers Support Service. It is currently being used by 115 local authorities as part of their carers offer and as part of the hospital discharge process.
